The new PCC generation for TiO2 substitution in paint
The paint industry is constantly facing major challenges with the increased demand for sustainability, quality and cost savings on raw materials, especially considering cyclic volatility of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2).
To mitigate the impact of such variability, Imerys Carbonates has developed a unique Ultra-Fine Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC), “SOCAL® UP”. This new product can be used as a true alternative to TiO2 in many matt architectural paints, providing significant cost savings and drastic reduction of carbon foot print.
